Throughout our long, rich history the dedicated members of the Rockton Fire Protection District have provided outstanding professional emergency services to both those who live within our borders and those who briefly pass through.

We continue to educate, train, and hone our skills to effectively respond to fire, medical and rescue emergencies that may visit themselves upon our community, remaining always at-the-ready to answer the call for help, prepared for the worst but hoping for the best.

The work can be stressful and the hours long, but aiding others in their time of need is our true reward.

Our ability to serve you as firefighters is our highest calling and privilege.
Mission Statement
The Rockton Fire Protection District is dedicated to protecting the lives and property of the people in the district from man-made and natural emergencies by providing a range of services that include, but are not limited to:
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • Fire Suppression and Rescue
  • Fire Prevention
  • Public Education
Decisions and actions of the members will be in a competent, professional, efficient, safe, and fiscally responsible manner while reaching into the future but never forgetting the past.
Core Values
Core values are our essential and enduring tenets, a set of general guiding principles, not to be compromised for short-term expediency. To accomplish its mission with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, efficiency and service to the community, the Rockton Fire Protection District has identified the following core values:
  • People - the most important resource of the district, this includes our employees and volunteers as well as those we serve and protect
  • Respect and Honesty - we accept people as individuals, embracing them for all their qualities including differences of ideas and opinions, while fostering a culture of honesty and integrity. 
  • Quality - in all its endeavors the district strives to ensure quality in performance of duties, quality in workmanship, quality in education, quality in decision making and critical thinking skills, quality in delivery of service to the public.
  • Safety - safety of our personnel and safety of those we serve is always at the forefront of our decision making.
  • Pride and Tradition - we are proud of ourselves, our department and the community we serve. The fire service is rich in tradition - it is the foundation on which our department is built. Firefighters of the past stand by us today, passing on their legacy, knowledge and dedication to the service.
